Saturday August 25th the students of Team Third Law Brazilian Jiu Jitsu headed to Lakeland to compete in the Copa America championships, there was a lot of good competition for the students that competed this weekend but they fought very hard and managed to bring many medals home, the medal count was: Gold: 6 gold medals, Silver: 6 silver medals, Bronze: 7 bronze medals, for a total of 19 medals!
Coach Joe and Joey winning blue belt divisions, Joey Blue Belt Absolute, Coach Joe bronze blue belt absolute, Coach Morales Gold No Gi Intermediate, we also had a new competitor, congrats to Damien who did his first tournament this weekend! The tournament this weekend was very stacked and the competitors of Team Third Law BJJ had a lot of fun competing with a lot of different opponents.
Team Third Law did not only take adult competitors to Lakeland this weekend but we also had many teens competing as well, everyone had a blast competing and all of the competitors did very good! We were very proud of our competitors this weekend, even if they did not get any medals they all fought very hard and got a good experience but most Importantly had a lot of fun. Overall it was a very exiting weekend with many medals won for Team Third Law Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

Katy: Bronze in all belt weight class, all belt absolute silver, No-gi all belt silver.

Joe Randall: No-gi beginner bronze.
Damien: No-gi beginner bronze.
Rachel: Teens beginner gi gold, adult gi division silver, No-gi beginner adult silver.
Gabriel: Teens gi beginner bronze, teen no-gi beginner gold.
