Congratulations to Scottie Tucker, Team Third Law BJJ & MMA's First Yellow Belt! Can't wait to see Scottie represent Team Lloyd Irvin at an International Competition.
Scottie Tucker has earned his spot in Team Third Law’s history book as its first yellow belt.
Since he first started at Team Third Law, Scottie has come a long way. One of the greatest parts about his story is that it shows where determination, perseverance, and hard work can get you. And, as all of his teammates and coaches know, this is just the beginning for Scottie.
As you may know Master Roberto has very high standards, so a yellow belt at Team Third Law BJJ & MMA is no small feat. Scottie has accomplished a lot throughout his Jiu Jitsu career. Scottie started in the Juniors program about two years ago, and in those two years he has put in a lot of work drilling techniques, grappling and helping as an assistant coach in the kids classes. When the school’s teens program started, he moved into that program and is a leader in the class.
During his time at Third Law, Scottie has transformed from a shy kid who couldn’t stand straight to somebody who is confident and surprises much larger, stronger and older opponents with his technical skill. He is only 14 years old, but is very respectful and well-disciplined both on and off the mat.
Not only does Scottie kick butt at the Naples BJJ & MMA school, but he also puts it on the line in tournaments as well. Scottie is a tireless competitor, and has had great success at local tournaments, winning many medals. He was one of Team Third Law’s first teens to compete, and now more kids and teens join him at every tournament. For anyone who competes, it is a great way to excel in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, as Scottie and many other Third Law competitors have shown.
Overall, Scottie is a great example of what Brazilian Jiu Jitsu can do for your life. He has come a long way with a lot of hard work, determination, and perseverance. The road to black belt is a very long one but with no doubt, this yellow belt has his sights set high. Big congratulations to Scottie, and we can’t wait to see him represent Team Lloyd Irvin at an International Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Federation event!
