14 Medals are coming home !!!
Team Third Law’s kids and teens competition team hit the mats on Sunday, May 22 at the NAGA Boca Raton, coming home from the competition with 14 medals: 5 gold, 6 silver and 3 bronze!

Another great day for Third Law at NAGA in Boca Raton: Kids and Teens bring 14 medals home to Naples!
It was a great day for the kids and teens and their parents, with the majority of the competitors doing their very first competition. After driving across Alligator Alley to Boca Raton on Saturday and getting a good night’s sleep, the kids and teens headed to the tournament venue Sunday morning with their parents and coaches for their rules meeting.

Then it was time for a talk with their coach before the first students’ divisions were called!

Here’s a round-up of how the competition went:
In the kids divisions, dedicated brother and sister team Carson VanCamp and Olivia VanCamp both brought home medals. Carson won gold in his beginner gi division, and Olivia won bronze in her novice gi division.
Olivia went one and one for the day, with a very close match against the champion in her division. Very impressive!

Hard-working juniors class student Jacob Hurd won silver in his gi division. Check out the photo below of him taking his first opponent’s back.

Little Ninjas competitor Anthony Feliciano fought both gi and no-gi, taking silver in both divisions at novice.

Another juniors student who has been working really hard, Vito Parker Klein, took home novice kids bronze.

Tony Delashmet also competed, and although he medal the coaches said that he fought very hard and made them very proud.
Next up were the teenagers, with veteran competitor Scottie Tucker joined by first time competitors Natalia Nunez and Tony Orbegoso.
Scottie Tucker tore it up in his teens divisions, winning gold in intermediate no-gi, bronze in expert no-gi and gold in intermediate gi and silver in the expert gi.

First time teen competitor, Tony Orbegoso, brought home three medals, taking novice no-gi gold, novice gi gold and beginner gi silver.
