Give Your Child A Head Start In Life… FROM THE START
Dear Parent,
Life is a race, from the day we are born we are competing with peers for every opportunity out there. Here is quick simple exercises for you. If you have a 3-5 year old write in a sheet of paper all the attributes and skills you would like him to have as follows:
Attributes
- Character
- Discipline
- Focus,
- Etc…
Skills
- Computer Programming Skills
You have a a minute ready go!.
Ok time is up. What did you find? Most parents I have done this test to end up writing way more attributes than skills. Skills are important, don’t get me wrong, but we really want children to be successful in whatever career, or field they desire to enter.
What seems to be constant is what kind of a person we want kids to grow up. In a nutshell, strong confident kids are what most parents desire.
Being a parent is no easy task…raising kids is difficult and the statement above is difficult to achieve when society is not helping at ALL!
YOU NEED AS MANY TOOLS ON YOUR SIDE HELPING YOU ACHIEVE THIS SIMPLE BUT CHALLENGING GOAL.
Why?
Daily life is difficult, and time is of the essence. And as kids grow, the challenges of raising them grow if we want to do a good job by them. The good news is that right now is the best time to get your child involved in a program that will help them achieve all the attributes you listed, and a set of skills our educational system overlooks.
I believe ideally we want our children to excel in four areas from early in their life to guarantee them a great life:
Socially: We want our child to be able to communicate with others, and be able to interact in a friendly disciplined manner.
Emotionally: We want our child to be able to control emotions like crying, sadness, anger, hyperactivity, etc..
Intellectually: We want our kids to be sharp, astute, good readers and writers, good at math, etc.. able to follow directions, and to solve problems quickly without help
Physically: We want our kids to be athletic, healthy, in shape, flexible, have good balance, good eating habits, etc…
Time is the most valuable resource on earth. We usually don’t have enough to do everything we want to do in a lifetime. But your child has all the time in the world to slowly work on this areas from a very young age.
Our program for Tiny Ninjas focuses in all of these areas for our kids in a super interactive and fun learning environment.
We live for the Tiny Ninjas! Tiny Ninjas are our best students? Why? Simple.
Tiny Ninjas Become Little Ninjas when they turn 6
Tiny Ninjas eventually go on to become Juniors when they turn 11
Tiny Ninjas become Teens when they turn 13.
And some Tiny Ninjas will go on to keep doing Martial Arts with us into adulthood.
Our Kids program starts with our Tiny Ninjas program and through the year we are constantly working with an age specific curriculum that challenge these young minds.
In the Tinys we will make sure that your child works on:
- Essential Life Skills: Such as Focus, Discipline, Respect,Confidence, Family, etc…
- Following directions
- Gross and Fine Motor Skills
- Self Defense Skills
- Basic Understanding of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and kickboxing
- Reinforce A+ or O’s (outstanding grades) in school
But most importantly, everything we will teach your child we will systematize to make sure this new supercharged champion applies it at home and at school.
At Third Law Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, we are on a mission to reach out to as many children in our community as possible. Laying a strong foundation for our youth is our mission. Our Little Ninjas Program is specially designed for 4 to 6 year-olds. There are 8 major skills that our instructors focus on: Focus, Team Work, Control, Balance, Memory, Discipline, Fitness, and Coordination.
In each class, we cover one of these skills with a wide variety of activities that are fun, educational and at the same time gets your child physically fit.
The following are some activities that we will cover in our Litte Ninja class:
Ninja Speed Test – all the students move about (like ninjas) until we give the command “attention.” They all must move to attention as fast as they can. This drill teaches them discipline to stand still when told.
The Jungle Game – we all pretend that we are in the jungle and when the instructor calls out an object such as a branch, they all must duck; if the instructor says log, they must jump; if the instructor says bear, they must pretend to be sleeping so the bear does not see them. This drill works on their memory and reaction skills, not to mention that it is a great workout.
Ninja Clean-up – we take all of our targets and kicking pads and place them all over the floor. We then split the class into teams and have a contest to see which team can pick them up the fastest. This teaches them teamwork, and also makes cleaning their own room fun.
Ninja Personal Development – each day we draw a special lesson out of our ninja hat and discuss how each lesson can help us become a better ninja.
As you can see, we make learning fun and educational. Martial Arts is much more than kicking and punching, it’s being the best that you can be in everything you do. With our Tiny Ninja program you can be sure your child will learn valuable skills that will last a lifetime.
